Did you know that when ChatGPT launched on November 30th of 2022, in just five days they had over a million users?

Yeah, A.I. is really about to change our business landscape.

And as a course creator, I wondered whether I could create an entire online course from start to finish by itself.

Let me show below how I'll use AI from coming up with a course topic to actually creating a course presentation.

Creating an Online Course from Scratch using AI

1. Come up with a Course Topic using AI ChatGPT

In creating a course, the first thing we're going to do is figure out what the course topic would be.

So I'm going to ask ChatGPT what are some popular online course topics and see what it comes up with.

The topics that it suggests are listed below:

The result is quite good, yet it’s broad.

But again, this can give you ideas to easily come up with your course topic. The more specific, the better.

For example, based on the result I'm going to pair the design and creativity courses with business and entrepreneurship.

The topic I come up with is Marketing for Photographers. I'll go forward with that to continue creating this course with AI.

2. Come up with a name for your Online Course using AI ChatGPT

Since we’re able to figure out what the course topic would be, the next thing is to come up with a name for the online course.

Again, we will use ChatGPT, and type “give me ten potential online course names for an online course about marketing your photography business.”

Let's see what it comes up with.

Look at that!

These online course names are really good. So now we have ten potential online course names to go with.

But I’m going to go with ‘’From Clicks to Clients’’ because that is so cute.

Next, let’s come up with a logo for our course.

3. Create a logo using an AI tool called MidJourney

So can AI design a logo for your course?

Sure!

This time I'm going to open up Discord and use an AI tool called MidJourney.

Midjourney is a brand-new, growing text-to-image AI that can produce images, logos, and art in less than 60 seconds.

You just need to enter a word prompt and it will generate it for you.

So my prompt is going to be: ‘’Make a simple logo for an online course for photographers called “From Clicks to Clients.”

So let's see what logo it creates.

Okay, so this is the logo that it came up with, but you can certainly play around with Midjourney Bot til you get a desired logo design.

All in all, this is so cool.

You could take these concepts and take them into Canva and then polish it up and have a final logo for your course.

How does that sound?

4. Create your Course Curriculum using AI ChatGPT

Okay, now that we have our course topic, name, and logo, which is pretty cool, how fast we were able to create those things even if they weren't 100%.

Next, let's go ahead and see what our curriculum will look like using ChatGPT.

So I'm going to type in ‘’make a Udemy style course curriculum for an online course about marketing your photography business. Course Title: From Clicks to Clients: Strategies for Marketing your Photography Business’’

Let's see what it comes up with.

This is pretty solid!

It actually created the whole course curriculum. And ChatGPT came up with all these different sections, which are what I would call modules.

But, whether you choose to put all of that to use or simply use it for inspiration is entirely up to you.

5. Create an actual lesson script using AI ChatGPT

So now that we have our course curriculum and modules, let's see if ChatGPT can create an actual lesson script from some of these lessons in these modules.

I'm going to type into ChatGPT:

Let me see if I can create a video script from the lesson prompt it gave me.

Wow, this is super cool, it created the entire script!

It also includes what to put in your slides, from the opening title and song to a slide with the call to action.

And I feel like it does really make you start to think outside the box because I've never written a script with different prompts of what to put in the video, what music to play, what things to be doing. So I think that's super cool.

6. Create a course video using an AI bot

Lastly, let’s try to take this script and put it into a video generator to see if we can create course videos using an AI tool.

I found this website where you can use an AI bot to actually read your script and create a video.

It's called Elai.io.

This AI tool is a text-to-video generator where you can create personalized videos faster, with a variety of digital avatars that narrates your videos.

It’s just simple to create.

First, choose a background for your video and choose an AI avatar, paste the script, then render a video.

It actually takes 28 minutes to render the video.

So I literally just posted in the script that ChatGPT just gave us, and this is what the final video looks like.

I would love to know what you guys think of this.

And in some research, I was doing before making this video, I did notice that there are services that you can pay to turn yourself into an AI bot.

That's really nice, however, if you plan to use this in a course presentation, it might be a little creepy. Perhaps you can explore a little more and use this AI tool to create something truly amazing.

Final Thoughts

A.I. tools are super cool, right?

But I definitely don't think it's like 100% there yet. It definitely needs a human touch.

Yet, I believe that using AI can be beneficial and that it may speed up our job and help us come up with new ideas. And I think it's really important that we learn it because our industry is about to change in a big way.

And those that are going to lean on AI and really utilize it are going to see a lot of growth. And those that aren't, I think, could get left behind. And that's just my own personal opinion.
