Do you want to know how many followers you actually need to get to six figures per year?


It's probably not as many as you think.

Today, I'll show you how to get there and I'll share the platforms I used to grow my audience.



Nowadays, anyone can literally make money online just by having a lot of followers.

Almost all social sites, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, provide opportunities to monetize your following.


Even so, many people have no idea how to profit from these platforms fast.


Today, I'll share with you my story, how many followers I had to make six figures, and what platforms I used to earn six figures.

My story…


1. Blog

The very first platform that I grew an audience on was a blog.


And for some reason, I had it in my head that I needed to blog and blog and blog until I had 5000 of those followers on an email list.

I don't even know where that number came from.

I literally made it up in my head and it's so silly to me to think about it today.

But now, I really believe you should be monetizing your following from day one.

I mean, why not be making sales as you're growing your following, right?



So, it took me about six months to have 5000 followers on an email list from that blog.

And if I wouldn't have waited, I could have been making money from day one.

Because here's what's crazy.

Once I started monetizing with Digital Products and Courses to those just 5000 people on my email list, I did over $250,000 in revenue with that business in my first year.

Can you imagine how much money I was leaving on the table making people wait to have their problems solved through my Digital Products and Courses?

They were willing to pay to have their problems solved, and I was making them wait for no good reason at all.

2. Facebook Group

When I built the following for my business, Freedom Creator, I started with a Facebook group.

I knew that this would be the fastest way to go from literally zero followers and zero sales to making money in 30 days.


In just seven days, I grew a following of around 200 people in that Facebook group.

And within 30 days, I had made just under $18,000 in revenue with just 200 followers.



It literally means you don’t need to wait until 1000, 5000, 10,000, or 20,000 followers in order to monetize.

I know YouTubers with literally 100,000 plus followers that are making absolute peanuts because they're waiting to monetize and they're just relying on AdSense.

And then I also know YouTubers with just 2000 or 5000 followers that are making six figures and multiple six figures per year because they decided to monetize smartly and monetize from day one.

How can you actually earn 6 Figures per year?


To grow a profitable following that's going to bring you in six figures per year, you just need three things.


1. Followers

2. Freebies

3. Email list


On average, about 1% to 5% of your email list will convert to purchasers.

The idea is to turn your followers into purchasers and students.

So let's say you have a YouTube following of 2000 followers. Here’s what you can do:

1. Create Freebies

Freebies are downloadable PDFs, guides, ebooks, or whatever it is you want to give to your audience for free in exchange for their name and email address.

2. Promote the Freebies

Start promoting the freebies in your videos, in your description, in your bio, anywhere you can to move those followers to email subscribers.

3. Build your Email List

Building your email list is easier than you think when you literally provide your viewers with a free solution to their problem.

People are more likely to download your freebies if they are useful to them.


And, in order to get those freebies such as PDFs, guides, or templates, they need to put in their name and email address.


In exchange, you are getting their name and email address to be added to your email list.

4. Monetize your Email List with Digital Products and Courses

Now yes, you can monetize with a lot of different things.

You can monetize with different digital products like ebooks, guides, and courses.

The choice is yours.

A sample math breakdown:

Let's say you're going to monetize with an online course.


And let's say that you've priced that online course at $997.



Now, it's industry standard that 1 to 5% of the people on your email list will purchase that product.

So again, let's say you have 500 people on your email list. And let's say your conversion rate was average at 3%.

That would mean that you would convert 15 of the people on your email list to students.



And let's say your course is $997, which let's just round up to $1000 to do some easy math.

So 15 purchasers times $1,000 would mean $15,000.



So now you're able to monetize 2000 followers on a YouTube channel to a 500 person email list and monetize that into $15,000.

And that's just from the first initial kickstart of your course.

If you are growing your email list by 500 people every single month, and you can convert 3% of those to your online course and make $15,000 per month, then that would be $180,000 per year.



So if we did the math that way, it would take you 24,000 YouTube followers to get to $180,000 per year.

Monetizing with Digital Products vs Monetizing with Adsense

I truly believe that you can make so much more money faster when you're monetizing with Digital Products and Courses.

Now, with AdSense, I have a friend who has over 100,000 followers on her YouTube channel, and she's making about $30 to $60,000 per year, which is amazing.

But think of how much longer that's going to take her to make six figures just from AdSense versus monetizing with Digital Products and Courses.

So let's use her channel as an example:

Let's say she has 100,000 followers, and she's converted 30% of those to an email list.

That would give her an email list of 30,000 email subscribers.



Now, let's say she converts at the average industry standard of 3%. That would mean that she could convert 900 people into an online course.

Now, let's say that an online course is priced at $1,000. That's $900,000!



Can you guys see how much more potential there is when you're monetizing with Digital Products and Courses versus waiting for AdSense, waiting for sponsorships?

In fact, I just watched a YouTube video from another creator saying that she put out 104 videos in the last year.

Every single one of them was sponsored.

She was super burnt out, working all the time, and she made under six figures doing all of that work.

Final Thoughts

To sum this up, the fastest way for you to get to six figures per year as a creator is to monetize with Digital Products and Courses!

Now, of course, things can vary.

It can depend on your niche, what you're selling, and how much it costs.


But the crazy thing is, you really only need like, 10,000 to 20,000 followers to get to that six figure or even multiple six figure mark.

Ask yourself who is your ideal client. Make content for that person, then start to listen to their questions, see what their problems are, and then you can create a digital product or course that solves that pain point or problem for them.

Remember: People are more than willing to pay to have their problems solved!
